The Greater Manchester Occupational Health Nurse Group or GMOHNG is a professional support & information network for nurses working within the speciality of Occupational Health [OH].

The GMOHNG is a well established group & we continue to expand having a reputation for producing excellent study days, conferences , day & evening meetings we attract to these events excellent local knowledge & also key contributions from the ‘movers & shakers’ in Occupational Health.

The website is free to members & the total website can be accessed via the membership link. The success of the website is down to the commitment of each member.  Members can contribute in very many different ways to this shared resource. It is also hoped to attract ‘affiliated’ members & other OH professionals & groups to this site in order to network & share best practice

The aim of the Greater Manchester Occupational Health Nurse Group is to promote continuing professional development & to share wisdom from our own practice & to support members who may have less experienced nurses within this area or certain areas of Occupational Health practice. We also aim to attract attention to Occupational Health especially in the North West & contribute to improvements made within OH education, policy & practice both locally & nationally.

The Greater Manchester Occupational Health Nurse Group have had key note speeches from Carol Bannister [RCN], Diana Kloss[Employment  Barrister], Professor Frank. B. Wright [Professor of Health, Safety & Environmental Law at the Universityof Salford  & many notable presentations over recent years - this website makes it possible for all members to have access to these contributions.

Within the GMOHN group there is a lively membership of with many members being registered as Specialist Practitioners in Occupational Health. The GMOHN group has been galvanised by a dedicated, enthusiastic & vocal [!] committee & at the last A.G.M. [Sept 05] the idea of a website emerged. From then interested members have met & set about looking at the most suitable way of sharing OH related information which is gathering by the group members & here it is-& it’s only just begun!

The GMOHNG acknowledges the generous support given by a group of loyal sponsors The sponsors are from OH related businesses who all have a desire to assist the group with their aims & their contributions enable the group to meet, network & to professionally develop.
